Hallo!

Hi, this is my first tutorial, so be cool. I made this in gratitude to SI, for all the years CM make me happy.I'm a Graphic Designer from Argentina, my English is not so good, so please, don't kill me okay?
-----------------------------------
Editing the image:
Go to your favorite club website, eg. Barcelona.
www.fcbarcelona.comIn this case I'm using Javier Saviola's face.
Open Photoshop, v7 is the better choice.
Open Saviola's file.
Select Magic Wand tool. Tolerance must be 40, antialiased and contiguous.
Click on the white background (bg), you'll see that gray parts are not selected.
Keep pressed shift key and click on the gray sectors to select the entire bg.
Once all bg sectors are selected, press delete and erase the bg.
To test how the pic will work on different bg's add a new layer behind the face. To add a layer go to menu Layer > New > Layer. Remember to drag the layer behind the face in the Layer's Palette.
Now with the Paint Bucket tool fill the bg with a dark color.
You'll probably see some ugly edges, we'll fix that.
Select the Erase tool. Brush (not pencil) number nine (the hard one) opacity and flow 100%.
To work more comfortable zoom in to at least 400%
Proceed to erase white spots, erase some semi white spots too, AND BE PATIENT!
Now you've a perfect pic, separate from the bg. Try changing the bg color to see if the face still looks good. Select the bg layer and fill it with the bucket.
Creating a Template
Now we'll create a new file to use it like template, go to new > and set width 50 and height 67.
Drag the layer of Saviola (from the palette) inside the new file and resize it with Edit > Transform >
Scale or just CTRL + T. Resize with SHIFT pressed to make it proportional.
You can move the layer to reposition it by having the CRTL key pressed and drag with the mouse.
To hide layers click in the EYE icon on the layers palette.
You can now drag inside this file all the players of the team and resize them.
Save the entire file in PSD format to have a backup of all the faces in a simple file.
Saving to PNG:
Ok, lets say you've included all the faces in the template file, now you must export them to .PNG format.
Hide all the layers, except the one you want to export. Hide the background too! you must see the chess bg, indicating that the bg is now transparent.
Go to File > Save for Web or just CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+S
In settings select PNG-24, transparency must be checked.
Save it in the player's directory.
DONE!
The PNG file you made will adapt in any background, conserving the antialiasing style in the edges, you
can add drop shadow if you want and the PNG will look grrreat too!
I´m attaching a zip file withsome images that can help you trough the tutorial, plase someone in SI, can you make a FAQ with these and include the attached images...
P.S.S: Necro_v4 hat auch ein .zip-file zum Download bereitgestellt mit einem Beispiel(Saviola)
